BCV establishes new banking fees for various services

The commissions were announced through Official Gazette No. 43,427

Caracas .- The Central Bank of Venezuela published in Official Gazette No. 43,427 the new banking fees in effect since August for services such as mobile payments and commissions for debit and credit cards.

According to the report, the mobile payment service (P2P and C2P) has a commission between 0.39% and 2%, with a minimum floor of Bs. 14.00, similarly for immediate credits and debits.

It also specifies that point-of-sale locations charge commissions for debit cards between 1.5% and 2%, for credit cards between 3% and 5%, and a maximum monthly maintenance cap of Bs. 23,771.00 for equipment owned by the bank.

The BCV’s official fee schedule also updated the costs for banking procedures and services, placing monthly maintenance for legal entity checking accounts, issuance of references, and printed account statements at up to Bs. 54.00.

Regarding failed and reversed transactions, they have a minimum surcharge of Bs. 14.00; while returned checks were adjusted to a maximum of Bs. 587.00 for natural persons and Bs. 662.00 for legal entities.
