Before clicking the very first P2P order, your account must be done with three things: identity verification, SMS verification, and at least one 2FA device.
I’ve reopened the “New to P2P” section in the Help Center. Those three requirements are right there in the introduction, along with the reason: it confirms that the person trading is the legitimate account holder.
Once that’s turned on, the first order is laid out neatly across three screens.
Screen one: the list of advertisements. Newcomers can scroll through the fastest, because your eyes only need to look at the price. Next to the nickname is a golden badge meaning the P2P trader has been verified. Next to that are the completion rate and the number of orders completed/running. Read those three lines first. Read the price after.
Screen two: the order detail page. From the moment the order matches, the seller’s crypto is automatically placed into escrow and locked there until both sides finish. Your job is to transfer exactly the amount of the payment account shown on the order, with the correct content, and keep the exchange inside the order’s chat box. If you leave the app, you lose the matching/reference point for later.
Screen three: the banking app. This is for the selling side. Funds must be deposited into the account before the payment can be released/unlocked. A screenshot is not the money.
For me, the first order isn’t about getting a good price. It’s about getting familiar with the process. So keep it small—choose a seller with a thick trading history, and read more slowly than usual. A difference of a few cents won’t change your outcome, but it helps you feel confident that you know exactly what you’re clicking.
One more small detail: the name of the account holder who receives the money must match the partner’s name on the order. If it doesn’t match, ask in the chat. Don’t transfer.
