One thing I used to be careless about when trading P2P: thinking that once an Order is completed, all risks are over.
After the crypto is released and the money has reached my account, I would usually close the Order and move on to another trade.
But the longer I trade, the more I realize that a P2P transaction may still need to be explained again afterward.
So now I have a habit of keeping a simple set of records:
š§¾ Order ID
š¬ Chat history within the Order
š³ Payment information and proof
š¦ Bank transaction history
Not because I think every transaction will end up in a dispute.
Itās because if, a few days or a few weeks later, the bank needs to verify a transaction, I want to have solid evidenceārather than having to recall who I traded with and what happened.
And if thereās an issue related to the transaction, I also donāt arbitrarily move to a new agreement to āresolve it quickly.ā I keep the Order records and use the Appeal or the official support channel when needed.
After some time trading P2P, I came away with a principle:
Donāt just manage the trade until itās completed. Manage the tradeās records even after itās completed.
A transaction can take just a few minutes.
But the evidence of the transaction may be needed much later.
