Almost Got Burned by a Bitter Pill When the Seller Asked to “Switch to Another Playground” Outside P2P!
Over the past few days it’s been so hot—some leveraged orders that are getting close to liquidation are borrowing money from their wives to buy a small amount of USDT on P2P to add “safety armor” for the leverage ASAP.
But the moment I stepped into the “underworld,” I ran straight into a scripted trap that almost blew everything up! 🤦♂️
The order just got placed. I was about to copy a few bank account numbers when a flood of messages popped up—turns out the seller had sent a chat message: “Hey bro, the bank on my end on the exchange is under maintenance. Scan this QR code and transfer to the external e-wallet for me—I'll drop the coins right away!”
I was buying more armor fast, so I planned to scan it without thinking. But then I noticed something off, so I quickly stopped my hand. If I sent money to some totally unfamiliar account and they later claimed they hadn’t received it—who would I even call then?
So you see, that’s why my order got burned immediately and I couldn’t add more armor in time. Luckily I didn’t just get burned but also lose money—and get scolded for being dumb. Right?
This is the safety lesson for P2P trading:
🛑 Transfer only the exact system information: Only the bank account number officially shown on the Binance order is legally valid. Any QR code, account number sent separately in chat, or “suggestions” routed through Zalo... are just smoke and mirrors!
🕵️ Refuse out-of-process requests: Message the seller directly: “If it’s not the account number listed on the exchange, I won’t transfer!” Slow and steady—nothing’s urgent, guys.
🚨 Open a dispute with Binance’s support team so others don’t fall for the scam.
Trade smart and stay safe with #Binance @Binance Vietnam and remember #BinanceP2PAnToan , alright everyone!
With the new setup, you can also enter the referral code #VINHTOCDO for convenience—so we can share the trading fee commission too.
