Is the crypto market no longer profitable—so you’re quitting and even don’t want the precious ETFs?
Grayscale has repeatedly withdrawn the ETF registration applications for ADA, HBAR, and DOT. No specific reasons were disclosed.
Grayscale (Grayscale) on August 7 consecutively withdrew the ETF registration applications for Cardano (ADA), Hedera (HBAR), and Polkadot (DOT). The time gap between the submission of the three withdrawal documents was about 190 seconds.
All three withdrawal documents state that Grayscale no longer plans to proceed with issuing ETF shares related to these products. The documents also note that the relevant registration statements have not yet become effective. No securities have been issued or sold, and no preliminary prospectus has been published. This withdrawal was not due to the SEC rejecting the related ETF applications, and the documents did not disclose the underlying reasons.
As of August 8, Grayscale’s altcoin ETF applications such as Bittensor, Aave, BNB, NEAR, and Zcash are still in the preliminary stage. Previously, Grayscale’s Avalanche Staking ETF and Hyperliquid Staking ETF registration statements became effective in March and June of this year, respectively. But the fact that a registration statement has become effective does not mean the product has started trading.$ADA
