That habit—checking the real balance before unlocking crypto—has saved me many times. Along with looking at the account name behind the transaction. If the name on the receipt doesn’t match the name on the order, I stop the deal immediately and file a dispute instead of guessing.
I also learned that impatience is a signal on its own. A real buyer will wait. Anyone who pressures you to skip verification steps, or asks to move the conversation outside the app, is usually the one you need to be most careful about.
