P2P trading is not just about choosing a buyer/seller with a good price. Before every transaction, I always check the following 5 steps:
1️⃣ Verify the counterparty information
Check the name, transaction history, and completion rate of the counterparty before placing an order.
2️⃣ Trade only on Binance P2P
Do not move to Telegram, Zalo, or other platforms for “private arrangements,” because if something goes wrong, it will be harder to get protection under Binance’s process.
3️⃣ Check the correct amount and receiving account
When buying/selling, compare the actual amount you receive with the order details. Do not confirm as completed just because the other party sends a screenshot.
4️⃣ Don’t confirm unless you’ve truly received the money
This is the most important step I find. Check your bank/wallet transaction history yourself. A transfer receipt photo or a message saying “I’ve sent it” is not proof that the funds have actually arrived in your account.
5️⃣ If anything seems abnormal, stop the transaction
Do not provide anyone with an OTP code, password, or any security information. If a dispute arises, use the complaint/support function right on Binance.
👉 In short: check the counterparty → check the order → check the real money → complete only when all information is accurate.
Safety in P2P starts with not rushing at any step.
