In the past hour, ETH contract liquidations across the entire web totaled $553,000. All liquidations were short positions (100%), while long positions were liquidated to zero.

On a 24-hour scale, the number is even more staggering: a total of $35.06 million in ETH liquidations, of which $27.01 million were shorts. The bears have been pinned to the ground all day—and it’s still continuing in the most recent hour.

The largest single liquidation was a short trader on Gate with 700 ETH, worth $1.359 million. Immediately after that was an OKX short position of 5,000 ETH, worth $969,000.

What’s interesting is that the spot ETF side has been continuously buying. ETH ETFs have seen net inflows for 7 consecutive days, totaling $267 million. Yesterday alone, $49.6 million was bought in a single day. From the funding side, institutions are adding to their positions, but in the derivatives market, shorts are being massively harvested.

The Fear & Greed Index is 30, and market sentiment is still in the fear zone. But it’s not the fearful people who are getting liquidated—it’s the shorts.
