🔐 A few steps I always check before making a Binance P2P trade
P2P trades are quite fast and convenient, but I’m usually not in a rush to hit confirm. Before each order, I check these steps one by one:
1️⃣ Carefully review the trader
I usually look at the number of transactions, completion rate, and the partner’s rating. If the account shows anything suspicious, I skip it—I won’t force a trade just to make it happen.
2️⃣ Check transfer details
Before sending money, I double-check the recipient’s name, account number, and bank. Even a small mistake in any of this can cause trouble, so it’s best to verify once more.
3️⃣ If I’m buying crypto
Transfer the exact amount as stated in the order and keep proof of payment. Don’t transfer extra money or follow any other requests that differ from the order information.
4️⃣ If I’m selling crypto
This is the most important step. I always open my banking app to confirm that the funds have actually arrived in my account before releasing the crypto. A screenshot of the transfer or a message saying “transferred” isn’t proof that the money has reached your account.
5️⃣ Don’t take the transaction outside Binance
If the other party asks to handle things via Telegram, WhatsApp, or sends a strange link, I stop and check first.
6️⃣ Don’t share sensitive information
Passwords, OTPs, and verification codes are personal data. There’s no reason to give them to someone else.
P2P isn’t difficult—just don’t be too hasty. Checking for an extra few minutes can help you avoid a lot of trouble.
