Brazilians are among those most affected by the vulnerability of Coldcard wallets, says Chainalysis
According to data shared by Chainalysis this Tuesday (4), Brazil appears among the countries most affected by thefts. According to Coinkite, the manufacturer of the Coldcard, which is based in Canada, the biggest losses were attributed to Canadians.
“The Coldcard hack is especially harmful to Canadian bitcoiners. Our analysis of the attackers and the victims shows that BTC holders in Canada are bearing 25% of the losses attributable to the incident. With estimates reaching US$ 110 million, according to the Galaxy Research dataset, we analyzed the geographic distribution of the ongoing hack.”
