Stared at the market until 3 a.m. last night, and even this morning my head is still buzzing. But the moment I started unboxing packages, the battery went straight back to full.
I bought a pair of quick-dry workout pants. The waistband is made really well—deep squats don’t pinch your flesh. I also grabbed a large mouse wrist rest; while I’m watching the market, my wrist finally has somewhere to rest. The baozi (stuffed bun) was squatting inside the delivery box and wouldn’t come out—fine, the box is yours. I fished through packing foam for ages and didn’t want to throw it away, because I just feel like I’ll find a use for it one day.
Shopping, honestly, doesn’t really “heal” you. But squeezed between the notification that the package arrived at dawn and my breakfast, it gives you this sense that, “Hey, I’m still holding onto my days.” Pretty good.
