In twenty years, I’ve seen several rounds of bull markets, and far too many people who became rich overnight.
What about now? I’m still earning my little steady income, living an uneventful life. Those who were once so prosperous back then—some jumped off buildings, some went to prison, some went mad, some drove fancy cars, some picked up bottles… they’re all there.
But there are still a dozen-odd evergreen “trees,” who’ve kept living well. Every time I see them, a thought always pops into my mind: Maybe I can do it too?
But when I think about those who disappeared, I become obediently cautious again. With the market, staying alive matters more than getting rich overnight.
