According to TechFlow, Daniel Batten, managing partner of CH4 Capital, said on X: "While we were sleeping, the European Commission (through ESMA and ECB) has been creating a report. They plan to label Bitcoin, including harmful to the environment, a threat to EU energy security, and a safe haven for financial criminals, paving the way for the EU to ban BTC and BTC mining in 2025."
They later added in a comment: The reason they knew this was that ODFoundation founders Lyudmyla Kozlovska and Bota Jardemalie had read every EC document for them and had been working on it for 18 months.
