BlockBeats news: On July 25, according to a report by the WSJ, Robinhood is in talks with the cryptocurrency trading platform Crypto.com to further expand its prediction markets business footprint.

An insider said that both parties plan to integrate Crypto.com’s prediction market business into the Robinhood platform, allowing users to trade Crypto.com’s “Yes/No” prediction contracts directly in the Robinhood trading interface.

At present, Robinhood mainly relies on partners such as Kalshi to provide prediction market contracts, but as both businesses expand, the partnership is gradually shifting toward competition.

Since last year, Robinhood has listed Kalshi event contracts, allowing users to trade predictions around events such as sports results and Federal Reserve interest rate decisions. In addition, Robinhood has partnered with Interactive Brokers’ ForecastEx and with Rothera, a venture co-operated with Susquehanna International Group.

Crypto.com launched an independent prediction market platform, OG, in February this year, and has provided prediction market contracts through its derivatives business since the end of 2024. By the end of 2025, Crypto.com also announced a partnership with the Trump media company to plan prediction market services on the Truth Social platform.

As interest in prediction markets continues to rise, Kalshi has become one of the major players in the U.S. market. Reports indicate that trading volume for Kalshi’s World Cup-related prediction markets reached $27 billion, while trading volume for markets related to the Super Bowl was about $1 billion.

Analysis suggests that potential cooperation between Robinhood and Crypto.com will further intensify competition in the prediction market sector. Traditional brokerages, crypto trading platforms, and specialized prediction market platforms are all vying for this emerging trading space.
