Visa has partnered with Web3 infrastructure provider Transak to launch cryptocurrency withdrawals and payments through the Visa Direct solution, the companies announced on January 30, Cointelegraph reported.

The new integration allows users to withdraw cryptocurrencies directly from wallets like MetaMask to Visa debit cards. Available immediately, the integration allows users to convert cryptocurrencies into fiat and pay at 130 million merchant locations that accept Visa.

The partnership enables users from 145 countries to directly convert at least 40 cryptocurrencies into fiat currencies without relying on centralized exchanges. According to Transak's global coverage page, some supported countries include Cyprus, Malta, Singapore, Turkey, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates, among others.
