Logically, after experiencing the largest options expiration in history last Friday, the gamma hedging power of the options market makers should have dropped to the lowest point, and the low liquidity and erratic pulling and smashing phenomena should have eased. In several previous instances, it generally happened in the evening, especially after the U.S. stock market opened.
