Binance depletes the $3,000,000 fund for those affected by earthquakes in Venezuela

Binance Charity confirmed that the $3 million assistance fund for those affected by the earthquakes of June 24 in Venezuela has been depleted. The aid, distributed in $20 USDT vouchers, was allocated to users in La Guaira, the Capital District, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Falcón, and Yaracuy through identity verification (KYC) and address verification (POA).

The financial aid program was structured in two operational phases to channel resources directly to digital wallets. The first phase includes a block of 90,000 users already selected in the disaster zones; their funds are being processed and will be credited to the Rewards Center within a maximum of 30 days.

The second stage covers a group of 60,000 existing users who completed and updated their residence and identity details between June 26 and June 28, 2026. The corporation emphasized that, after the global quota of 150,000 beneficiaries was filled, the allocation reached its technical limit, so the program is closed and no new subsidies will be issued.

Temporary fee exemption

Alongside the deployment of contingency capital, the financial multinational implemented operational relief measures within the Venezuelan currency exchange market to facilitate electronic transactions during the emergency.

The firm waived all commissions for peer-to-peer (P2P) system operations involving transactions denominated in bolívares (VES). In addition, the corporate payments processor Binance Pay will maintain a complete exemption from commercial fees for establishments and businesses registered in the country. Both operational relaxations will formally expire on July 2, 2026 at 23:59 UTC-3.
