What is Data Ownership Protocol?
The Data Ownership Protocol (DOP) is leveraging zero-knowledge proofs to enable flexible transparency (also known as Ethereum's privacy protocol) on top of Ethereum L1. DOP allows users and DApps to store and trade assets privately, or selectively disclose token holdings and historical information.
The official announcement has been released to confirm that all steps have been completed to log in to the DOP testnet and complete all tasks. After completing all tasks, you will be eligible to receive DOP token rewards in early 2024 (after the token is officially released).
Detailed step-by-step guide
(Foreword: Please use Google Chrome browser on desktop; currently only available through Metamask wallet.)
Step 1: Visit the website

Step 2: Enter your email address so that you can be reminded to claim your rewards after the official token launch in early 2024, then click Continue.
Step 3: Create a DOP wallet and set a password (please keep your mnemonic phrase safe)
Step 4: Log in to your DOP wallet and enter the test network website, and connect to the Little Fox wallet
Step 5: Complete the task according to the page task steps and unlock the next task
① In steps 2, 3 and 4, you only need to click the "Claim" button:
In step 2, you will receive 0.05 SepoliaETH tokens. In step 3, you will receive 1000 testnet DOP tokens. In step 4, you will receive testnet versions of 10 crypto assets, 10,000 tokens each. These tokens are for testing purposes only and have no real value.
In steps 3 and 4, you may want to add the token contracts to your Metamask so that they are visible in your wallet. Simply click on the Metamask fox icon.
② Step 5 Operation:
Click "Start" to begin the encryption process. On the screen, the DOP Address field is pre-populated with your DOP Wallet address. Click inside the "Select Token" field to display the list of available assets - click on the currency you want to encrypt to select it. You can also use the search bar to quickly find the token you want. Specify the amount you want to encrypt in the "Amount" field and click "Encrypt" at the bottom.
③ Step 6 Operation:
Click "Start" to go to the "Send" screen. Then follow the steps below to send crypto assets to another DOP wallet. Click the down arrow at the right end of the DOP Account field. A drop-down list will open, showing any DOP accounts you have created in your current wallet, as well as a test account address - you can also click inside the DOP Account field and manually enter the address you want to send your assets to.
For the purpose of this test, select "Test DOP Account". Click on the "Select Crypto Token" field to display a list of available crypto assets. The token you encrypted in the previous step should be available in the list, click on it to select it. In the Amount field, enter the amount you want to send.
Click the Send button. Confirm the transaction in the transaction summary pane that appears. And confirm the transaction in your Metamask wallet - the transaction should be completed within a few seconds.
④ Step 7 operation:
Click to get started, and after entering, click inside the "Select Crypto Token" field to display a list of available crypto assets.
(The tokens you encrypted in Step 5 should be available. Note: If you sent all of your encrypted tokens in Step 6 - Send Assets, you will need to encrypt more tokens to complete this step. Simply click on Transactions > Decrypt in the left navigation menu and complete the steps listed in Step 5 - Encrypt Assets above.)
Select the asset you want to decrypt ➡ Specify the amount in the Amount field ➡ Enter your wallet password in the specified field ➡ Click “Decrypt” ➡ On the “Transaction Summary” screen ➡ Click “Confirm” to confirm the transaction.
You will also need to confirm the transaction in Metamask. (Once the transaction is complete, a notification will appear letting you know that your assets have been successfully decrypted)
