I remember over a year ago, you could still open an account without a card at Huili. Back then, my mom opened a cardless account at home, and she hasn’t used it since; it’s just been sitting there. Coincidentally, I went to Hong Kong today, so I figured I’d deposit some HKD into my mom's account.

It was my first time depositing into Huili's account with HKD, and I tried all sorts of accounts but hit a bunch of roadblocks. Later, I consulted friends like Gumu and Sanjin, and finally, with Mr. Li's help, I successfully made the deposit. Looks like having some guidance really speeds things up. Huge thanks to all my bros for their advice.

There was a funny twist halfway through. I ran into my crypto buddy Will at the Huili office. We might have met last month in Shenzhen, so it was quite a coincidence to bump into him in Hong Kong. It was thanks to Will that I sorted out my HK issue since HSBC has a withdrawal limit of 2000 HKD per day. I wanted to transfer 5000 HKD to my mom's account, and without Will, I wouldn’t have been able to gather enough. My mom's account probably would have stayed inactive. Grateful for the serendipity of meeting Will.

While Will and I were saving up, we had this little adventure. As we were walking, I spotted a red piece of paper on the ground. I thought it was trash and was going to pick it up to throw it away, but it turned out to be a 100 HKD note. It was my first time finding HKD, and I was pretty surprised.

I looked around and didn’t see the owner, so I thought, whatever. I figured that found money shouldn’t stay overnight or be carried around, so I spent it right away. When I got back that night, I realized it was found money, and since it felt like ill-gotten gains, I decided to donate 100 RMB through Tencent Charity. Wishing everyone happiness and health.
