According to CoinDesk, ARK Invest continued to sell shares of the ProShares Bitcoin Trust Fund ETF (BITO) in the past week while increasing its holdings of its own spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund. Cathie Wood's investment company has sold a total of 2,226,191 shares of the Bitcoin Futures ETF since January 19, with a total value of approximately $42.8 million at $19.22 as of Thursday's close. At the same time, ARK Invest purchased 1,563,619 shares of the ARK 21 Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), worth approximately $62.3 million. ARKB closed at $39.87 on Thursday, up a negligible 0.68% on the day. ARK Invest used BITO as a short-term investment and sold shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) at the end of last year, expecting the United States to approve a spot Bitcoin ETF, and plans to exchange BITO for a spot Bitcoin ETF after approval. ARKW now holds $91.4 million worth of ARKB, accounting for 5.98% of the total value of the fund. Its BITO shares now stand at just 366,128 shares, valued at $7 million, or 0.46%.
