Trump's probably got a serious grudge against the Democrats led by Biden and Obama. If it weren't for Biden using the DOJ/FBI to launch multiple criminal investigations and prosecutions against Trump, essentially a political purge, would he even consider running again at his age?
If he doesn't run, he's likely facing conviction, massive fines, and a totally ruined reputation—basically game over for him.
Talk about bad luck, just as the pandemic hit, instead of focusing on containment, he treated it like a cold, shifting the blame to China. The U.S. has the highest infection/death rates globally, plus he shot his mouth off about Black folks, Asians, etc., promoting white supremacy, which cost him public support. But to be fair, before the pandemic, his first term had decent economic growth—low inflation, low interest rates, rising wages, a booming stock market, and slow debt growth, but then the pandemic crashed everything.
Trump probably realized that if he gets a second term, he could pardon himself, his family, and his loyalists, while also cashing in on some Trump coins to boost his family's and advisors' wealth, and groom his political allies. After his term, he can enjoy political immunity and live the good life.
So, it's clear: it doesn’t matter who becomes president in the U.S., the system's already twisted and society's distorted.
There are still over three years until he steps down on January 20, 2029, so enjoy the ride that Trump brings!
