BlockBeats news, on May 12, three US officials stated that after negotiations with Iran stalled on Sunday, Trump met with his national security team on Monday to discuss the next steps regarding the Iran conflict, which may include resuming military operations.

US officials say Trump wants to strike a deal to end the war, but Iran has turned down many of his demands and refused to make meaningful concessions on its nuclear program, putting military options back on the table. Recently, Trump has repeatedly threatened to bomb Iran's infrastructure if diplomatic routes fail.

Officials say one option is to target the 25% of objectives identified by the US military but not yet hit. US officials state that Vice President Vance, Special Envoy Witkoff, Secretary of State Rubio, Defense Secretary Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kane, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and other senior officials are expected to participate in a meeting regarding the Iran issue.
