The long-awaited coin issuance and airdrop of Arbitrum, the leader of L2, is finally here.
What is Arbitrum?
Arbitrum is the second-layer network of Ethereum, referred to as L2. According to data from defillama, the current total TVL of Arbitrum’s ecosystem is US$1.7 billion, while the total TVL of another competitor, Optimism, which is also familiar to everyone, is US$940 million. What is ARB?
ARB is Arbitrum’s ecological token. For comparison, Optimism’s ecological token is OP.
The initial total supply of Arbitrum token ARB is 10 billion, with an annual inflation of up to 2%. In terms of token airdrops, 11.62% of the initial total supply will be airdropped to Arbitrum users, and 1.13% will be airdropped to the DAO treasury built on Arbitrum to build applications. Arbitrum has developed a points system with a maximum point limit of 15 points. The points standard mainly tracks users’ activities on Arbitrum One; a small part of the criteria applies to activities on Arbitrum Nova. Arbitrum Nova users can get 4 points (if they are already on Arbitrum If you score 4 or more points on One, an additional 1 point will be added). Specific conditions for earning points on Arbitrum One:
Bridge funds to Arbitrum One;
Trade in two different months;
Transactions were made in different six-month periods;
Transactions within nine months;
Conducted more than four transactions or interacted with more than four different smart contracts;
Conducted more than ten transactions or interacted with more than ten different smart contracts;
Conduct more than 25 transactions or interact with more than 25 different smart contracts;
Conducted more than 100 transactions or interacted with more than 100 different smart contracts;
Conduct transactions totaling more than $10,000;
Conduct transactions with a total value in excess of $50,000;
Conducted transactions with a total value in excess of $250,000;
Deposit liquidity in excess of $10,000 with Arbitrum;
Deposit more than $50,000 of liquidity into Arbitrum;
Deposit over $250,000 in liquidity with Arbitrum.
Arbitrum Nova Points Earning Eligibility:
Bridge funds to Arbitrum Nova;
Conducted more than three transactions;
Conducted more than five transactions;
Conducted more than ten transactions.
Comparison between ARB and OP:
Compared with the price of the benchmark OP, the current over-the-counter quotation of 1U is more reasonable. ARB airdrops need to wait 7 days before claiming, so you need to wait a week for the opening. If the market market is good by then and it is listed on the leading exchange, it may be higher than 1U. Otherwise, it will open lower. The current market response to ARB's airdrop has been good, but avoid FOMO and treat it rationally.
