Above, 80,000 hasn’t truly established yet. Around 81,000, it’s also sitting under the 50-week moving average. If it can’t break upward in the short term, sentiment easily leaks.
But below isn’t completely without support either.
Just looking at the price, it’s been hovering above 78,000, which suggests the bulls haven’t directly given up.
So I don’t really want to rush to call a direction right now.
If it’s going to be strong, it needs to reclaim and hold above 80,000—and it can’t get knocked back down immediately.
If it keeps grinding between 78,000 and 80,000, then it’s very likely still a shakeout/whipsaw market.
The most annoying part of this kind of market is: It looks like it’s about to break out, but once you chase in, it starts choppy consolidation.
Actually, this is more worth watching than a straight move up.
The issue now isn’t “whether it can reach 80,000,” but “after touching 80,000, whether there will be buyers to keep it going.”
Just now I saw BTC still hovering around 79,000. There’s clearly pressure above 80,000, and around 81,000 it’s also just been pinned against a key moving average level.
This kind of position is the easiest to make people hesitate.
Bulls worry about missing the breakout, Bears worry about getting squeezed if it keeps running— What really feels comfortable is waiting for the market to show its stance first.
If it later reclaims 80,000 and doesn’t quickly drop back, then the bulls still have something to work with.
If it keeps failing to push through, then it shaking around here is also normal.
Don’t only look at whether the price has broken a round number. Whether it can hold—that’s the real thing.
HYPE The most important question these days isn’t: Will it still go up? It’s: Can the market absorb the large unlock on August 29? Hyperliquid’s current narrative is very strong. It’s an on-chain Perp leader, with great trading data and the price just made a new high. But precisely in moments like this, you can’t just stare at the candlestick chart. Based on public data, this time about 14.17 million HYPE will be unlocked, worth nearly $1.2 billion. The size isn’t small, and some of it will go to insiders. This doesn’t automatically mean a sell-off. A lot of people see the words “unlock” and immediately turn bearish—yet that’s not necessarily correct. What really matters is whether, after the newly circulating supply is released, the market still has enough buy orders to catch it. If it can be absorbed, then this could actually turn into a strong confirmation. If it can’t be absorbed, then a shakeout at high levels is also completely normal. So right now, when it comes to HYPE, I’m not rushing to pick a side. I only look at three things: whether trading volume is dropping; whether pullbacks are being supported; and whether Hyperliquid’s on-chain capital and trading momentum keep staying strong. A good project doesn’t mean every price is worth chasing. A strong narrative doesn’t mean there will be no volatility either. HYPE is worth watching. But the hotter it gets, the slower you should move. Do you think this unlock will be a pressure point, or an opportunity? Not investment advice—DYOR. #HYPE #Hyperliquid #DeFi #Crypto
The most interesting thing in today’s market isn’t how much BTC is up.
It’s that many altcoins have started to stop lagging behind.
What does that mean?
It suggests that the capital inside the market hasn’t fully pulled out—it’s just waiting for BTC to offer a relatively safe window.
But don’t get too carried away here.
Altcoins love to pull back right when you’ve just started believing in them, then they also love to suddenly pump right when you’ve completely given up on them.
So my thinking is simple now:
As long as BTC hasn’t broken down, sentiment is still there. If ETH can catch up and lead, then the market still has room for imagination. If a strong sector doesn’t die on a pullback, then it’s worth keeping an eye on what comes next.
Don’t rush to go all in. A truly good market won’t only give you a 5-minute window to jump in.
Are you still focusing more on BTC now, or have you started looking at altcoins instead? #BTC #ETH #Crypto
Do you think BTC is currently ranging as it builds strength, or is it luring people in?
Personally, I’m paying attention to three signals:
1. Is there support/acceptance during the pullback? 2. Can ETH continue to outperform BTC? 3. When altcoins rise, is trading volume sustained?
If all three are present, there’s still room for the market to broaden/expand. If it’s only sentiment with no volume, then be careful about a spike followed by a pullback.
