Airdrop Quota
The airdrop will distribute tokens to 5,500 Monad community members and nearly 225,000 members of the cryptocurrency community.
MON tokens have been distributed to recipients via five main channels, each of which has several sub-channels, as detailed below. Individuals who qualify through multiple sub-channels are entitled to receive the sum of their respective allocations. The portal uses Privy for authentication. You can prove your ownership of the wallet by signing messages using your EVM or Solana wallet. You can also link your Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Farcaster, or email accounts. All authentication is done through Privy.
The application period ends on November 3, 2025.

When determining the screening criteria for identifying deep users of the blockchain, Monad considered behaviors that a Sybil attacker could easily repeat, focusing on criteria that are difficult to forge. Behaviors such as repeated low-value transactions, which are easily batched by bots, are not effective as standalone screening criteria because the share allocated to real users would be negligible compared to the share allocated to bots.
Ultimately, Monad settled on a set of criteria that identifies highly active users both on-chain and off-chain. On-chain, Monad focused on user usage of major decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, particularly those requiring long-term capital investment, as well as high-frequency DEX traders and holders of select high-profile NFT collectibles. Off-chain, Monad emphasized metrics related to verified social identity, participation in social and educational Web3 communities, and contributions to public goods and security research. Monad invested significant effort in manual annotation and developed two applications—Monad Community Recognizer and Monad Cards—to incorporate input from members of the Monad and cryptocurrency communities into the screening process.
For on-chain data analysis, the Monad Foundation commissioned Trusta AI to assist in identifying and removing Sybil attack addresses. The third-party's expertise in anti-Sybil attack allocation was instrumental, and Monad would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Trusta team for their assistance.
Which on-chain users are eligible?
This portion of the airdrop is targeted at users who have historically generated significant value on-chain, both in the EVM and Solana addresses, specifically across multiple of the following priority forms of value:
High-frequency DEX traders: included in
Users trading on Hyperliquid and Phantom Wallets (spot and perpetual contracts), as well as users trading tokens issued on platforms like Pump.fun, Virtuals, and other memecoins.
Large depositors of mainstream DeFi protocols: This includes users who have deposited large amounts of funds into mainstream decentralized finance protocols such as Aave, Euler, Morpho, Pendle, Lighter, Curve, PancakeSwap, and Uniswap.
Long-term holders of various NFTs: This includes holders of well-known NFTs such as Azuki, Chimpers, CryptoPunks, Doodles, Fluffle, Hypurr, Mad Lads, Meebits, Milady Maker, Moonbirds, Pudgy Penguins, Redacted Remilio Babies, Sappy Seals, Solana Monkey Business, and Wassies.
Users who have recently actively participated in the governance of mainstream DeFi protocols on Ethereum: refers to users who have recently actively participated in the governance decisions of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) of mainstream decentralized financial protocols in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Blockchain users are screened based on snapshot data as of 23:59 (UTC) on September 30, 2025. Some screening criteria are calculated based on back-calculations of several months of data.
Monad Cards users and others are also eligible
The MON airdrop is also targeted at members of the broader cryptocurrency community, identified through social graph analysis and initiatives like Monad Cards. The core principle is to identify genuine cryptocurrency users. While it's impossible to identify every such user, eliminate all "fleecing scammers"/bots, and avoid double counting, this airdrop aims to identify those who are passionate about cryptocurrency and enable them to become stakeholders in the Monad network.
A particularly important component is the "Monad Cards" program. "Monad Cards" is an initiative to identify active, thoughtful, and deeply involved individuals in the cryptocurrency space on Twitter. Those selected are then encouraged to nominate others who were not identified but are equally deserving of recognition. Those who received their cards in the first wave, the second wave, or even those who forgot to claim their cards are all included in the airdrop.
