According to TechFlow, Euler Labs released an update on the progress of recovering lost funds for Euler Finance users:

1. Prevent direct attacks as quickly as possible by helping to disable the EToken module, which blocks deposits and vulnerable donation functions.

2. Work with TRM Labs, Chainalysis, and the broader ETH security community to help investigate and recover funds.

3. Notify and share information with US and UK law enforcement. We have also contacted those responsible for the attack to see if we can learn more.

The attack occurred after the attackers exploited vulnerable code that enabled them to create unsecured token debt.

The proposed solution is: users affected by this vulnerability can request a refund. The remaining funds in the treasury will be used for refunds. "In this event, smart contract auditing platform Sherlock helped Euler submit a claim, voted on the $4.5 million claim (ultimately passed), and executed a $3.3 million payment today.
