Aztec Network, a second-layer privacy solution for Ethereum, announced in its official blog that the DeFi privacy bridge project Aztec Connect will be gradually shut down, and users will continue to be able to withdraw funds for free within a year. Aztec Connect's sequencer will slowly reduce the frequency of rollup total blocks exited, with the final exit date about a year later: March 21, 2024. The project team said that while withdrawals are always possible, the fees for withdrawals will increase significantly after March 2, 2024, so users are advised to withdraw as soon as possible.

The specific arrangements are as follows: 1. Aztec Connect will operate normally from March 13 to March 21; 2. Deposits will be disabled from 22:00 on March 21, Beijing time; 3. One-year withdrawal window: March 13, 2023 - March 21, 2024; 4. March 21, 2024: The last Aztec rollup sent from the Aztec sequencer; 5. Starting from March 21, 2024: Users will have to run withdrawal software or rely on sequencers run by the community.

Aztec Network said that its long-term focus will be on the development of two major products, namely the zero-knowledge proof language Noir and the next-generation encrypted blockchain, which will be compatible and interrelated.
