Many people talk about scaling, and they often start from performance parameters, but I care more about whether a chain will lose control under pressure. Those who have truly used on-chain products know that what most affects the experience is not speed, but whether it suddenly slows down or if costs fluctuate.
I am concerned about @Plasma because its design philosophy leans more towards stable operation rather than just having good-looking single-point data. It treats Ethereum as the ultimate security foundation, separating execution efficiency from security boundaries; this structure is more like doing a long-term project rather than a short-term race.
For DeFi or trading scenarios, predictability is often more important than speed. If the rules are clear and costs are stable, users are naturally willing to stay. The logic of $XPL is also more aligned with demand-driven use rather than emotion-driven.
As scaling has come to this point, what we are competing with is no longer explosive power, but endurance.
