Introduction
As cryptocurrencies continue to grow in popularity, the growing number of exchanges and trading tools can make choosing difficult, especially for new users. To make it easier to purchase bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies, Binance has introduced a simplified version of the Binance app, called Binance Lite. The feature is now available to most Binance users.
What is Binance Lite?
Binance Lite is a simplified version of the Binance app. It offers an intuitive interface with a reduced amount of information on the application home page. Users will only see basic features when they launch the app, making Lite mode a perfect choice for crypto novices and new Binance users. Additionally, if you are using an older mobile device or limited internet connection, Binance Lite may offer better performance than the regular Pro version.
Currently, Binance Lite is the default interface when users open the Binance app for the first time. They can easily switch from Lite to Pro mode at any time, depending on their preferences and trading needs. To change the app mode, tap the profile icon in the upper left corner and toggle the button next to [Binance Lite].

Compared to Binance Pro, Binance Lite has improved usability, making it easier for new users to navigate. In the Lite version, users will only see the prices of the most popular cryptocurrencies on the app's home page, as well as a green or red line to represent the price trend over a given period. Despite the simplistic interface, users still have the option to sort currencies based on their popularity, market capitalization, price, and price changes that occurred within 24 hours. They can also tap on a specific currency to check its price trend on an easy-to-read candlestick chart, which can be customized to show the trend over different time frames. Information and news about the currency is also included at the bottom of the page.

Users can purchase cryptocurrencies in just a few steps on Binance Lite. All they need to do is press the [Trade] button on the currencies page. Select the fiat currency to use, enter the amount to purchase and choose the payment method to confirm the order. The purchased cryptocurrency can then be viewed in the wallet. The same goes for selling cryptocurrencies. Tap [Sell] in the upper right corner, or use the [Convert] function to convert between different currencies.

In addition to basic trading functions, Binance Lite offers other Binance Earn products to allow users to grow their cryptocurrency holdings. Binance Earn is similar to a savings account, users can subscribe their unused funds to BNB Vault or Flexible Savings and receive stable returns. Earn products are flexible, meaning users can deposit funds, earn interest, and withdraw them at any time without transaction fees.
To subscribe to Binance Earn products, tap the Earn banner on the app homepage. All available currencies and their respective APY yield estimates are displayed.

What is the difference between Binance Lite and Binance Pro?
As mentioned, Binance Lite mode is the default mode for all new users. It is more user-friendly for those new to cryptocurrency trading, allowing them to quickly check prices and make purchases from the homepage dashboard.
Although the product's more complex functions have been removed from Lite mode, the most frequently used basic functions are easily accessible from the navigation bar at the bottom. Users can click the middle yellow icon to buy, sell or convert cryptocurrencies, or the wallet icon to check their wallet balance, asset allocation and wallet value.

Binance Lite is suitable for users who are new to cryptocurrency trading, while Binance Pro offers versatile trading features to meet the needs of professional traders, such as futures trading, options trading, and margin trading. The Pro version's trading interface is more robust and offers advanced charting tools and order types. In addition to the more sophisticated interface, users can trade on Binance P2P with other users, or increase their cryptocurrency returns with the different staking plans available on Binance Earn.
To conclude
If you are an active or experienced trader, the Pro version may be a better choice, as it offers more features and trading tools to allow you to take advantage of the different Binance products and services we offer. If you're new to the cryptosphere and looking for a quick and easy way to get started, we recommend using Lite mode first. In any case, you can always test both options, as it is very easy to switch from Lite to Pro mode.
