1. Don't send real mainnet tokens to the binance chain testnet
The Binance Chain testnet is strictly for testing purposes. Regular users can play with it to test any features, crypto service providers such as wallet creators can test the integration with Binance Chain, and traders can test their trading strategies. But all tokens on testnet are test tokens, which have no monetary or benefits associated with them. Binance Chain test funds are not equivalent to Binance mainnet funds or Binance.com account funds.
Please do not send real mainnet tokens (BTC, ETH, BNB, etc.) to Binance testnet. Your tokens will be lost and unrecoverable. If you want some test tokens, go to the test pool faucet. It's free, you only need a Binance.com account and 1BNB in the account at the time of application (you can spend the BNB after getting the trial fund), and you can fund multiple addresses with a single account.
2. Don't share your mnemonic phrase or private key with anyone
If you share it with others, they will take your funds and you will lose control of your funds completely. No one, including Binance Chain validators and Binance, can help you return your funds.
Therefore, do not share your private key with anyone, not even someone claiming to be Binance or CZ customer service.
3. Don't lose/forget your mnemonic phrase.
As described above, when you lose your mnemonic phrase and private key, you risk losing access to your funds. Even Binance Chain or Binance validators cannot help you recover your private key or mnemonic phrase. It is mandatory that you keep your mnemonic phrase safely.
4. Don't forget to write your mnemonic phrase.
A mnemonic phrase can help you recover your private key and is frequently used in many hardware wallets to generate the seed for more private keys. It's the best way to recover your private key, so write it down and keep it somewhere safe.
If you want to know more, Binance Chain's mnemonic phrase is following the BIP39 protocol and uses BIP32/BIP44 to generate a private key from it.
5. Do not continue using mnemonic phrases or private keys to unlock your wallets.
If you continue to use the mnemonic phrase and private key, you have a much higher chance of losing them to phishing apps or websites. Private keys and mnemonic phrases should only be used to recover hardware folders or files from the keystore or mobile wallets.
It is highly recommended to always use Trust Wallet (coming soon), hardware wallets or keystore file to unlock them.
6. Do not use SDKs or Trading Bots that are not 100% reliable
When using SDKs or trading bots on DEX, you may need to enter your private key into the libraries or software; By then, you may expose the private key to a leak or risk becoming a victim of phishing. Make sure the SDK and Trading Bots libraries/software are 100% trustworthy. It is highly recommended that you use a signature service (coming soon).
7. Do not send large and aggressive orders at the same time.
Binance DEX uses different matching logic from Binance.com. The biggest difference for normal users would be in trading large and aggressive orders. If you submit them all at once, the matching engine would consider that there is a large surplus of buying or selling and will conclude a much worse trading price for you. Therefore, please send small pieces if you want to buy or sell a large quantity. For example, the EOS.B/BNB pair, if the best buy order is 100 EOS.B at a price of 0.39, the second best is 100 EOS.B at 0.34, and the third best is 100 EOS.B at 0.20 , sending a sell order for 300 EOS.B while other sellers would not give you a price of 0.39 or 0.31 (the average price you can get if you quote on Binance.com against the same order book), but most likely of 0.20. In this case, for a less liquid market, it is better to submit 3 orders each with 100 EOS.B.
8. Do not associate any benefits or gains with tokens on the Binance Chain testnet
As described above, the tokens on the Binance Chain testnet are purely for testing purposes. Tokens and testnet funds at their addresses can be reset during testnet updates. Beware of scams or phishing that promise profit or profit on tokens on the Binance Chain testnet. Tokens on testnet have no monetary value.
