Recently analyzed the portfolios of the largest crypto funds, such as VanEck, 21Shares, Grayscale, Bitwise, Canary, etc. They have already formed altcoin portfolios and are now taking steps for their growth. In particular, they are applying for spot ETFs.
I remind you, $ETH ETFs almost always have a positive impact on the price of cryptocurrencies (and not just crypto assets). Without an ETF: to buy a token, you need to set up a wallet, understand exchanges, storage, taxes. With an ETF: the investor buys the asset through a regular brokerage account. This opens the market to a huge number of traditional investors (pension funds, banks, institutional, etc.). I will go over the tokens that are expecting the implementation of an ETF in 2025:
Solana ($SOL ) - The probability of approval for traditional spot Solana ETFs is estimated to be extremely high — 90-95% by the end of 2025. Applications from VanEck, 21Shares, Grayscale, and others.
Litecoin ($LTC ) — ETF applications have already been submitted by Canary Capital, Grayscale (conversion of their LTC trust), CoinShares. Analysts give about a 90% chance of approval in 2025.
XRP (Ripple) — many applications, moderate optimism. Applications from Bitwise, Canary, 21Shares, WisdomTree, Franklin Templeton, and others; also, Grayscale is trying to convert its XRP trust into an ETF. JPMorgan forecasts an inflow of $4–8 billion if the ETF is approved.
Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Polkadot (DOT), Hedera (HBAR). Recently submitted applications for these coins, including from Grayscale, VanEck, and others. Bloomberg estimates the chances at 90% for ADA, AVAX, DOT, and HBAR.
Dogecoin (DOGE) — Application from Bitwise. Bloomberg estimates the chances at 90%, although it raises caution due to its meme status.
