Dogecoin (DOGE) is about to get another use case thanks to Elon Musk, the world’s richest man. This comes after it was revealed that the major meme coin will be a means of payment when one of Musk’s breakthrough projects finally launches.
Tesla project will accept Dogecoin at launch
DogeMemeGirl, a member of the Dogecoin community, recently brought to the community’s attention that DOGE will be accepted when Tesla’s Supercharger station in Hollywood finally launches. Her comments came as another X (formerly Twitter) user provided an update on the station, which is already ready and could launch this year.
In fact, when that happens, DOGE will become a payment option. Musk himself confirmed in a 2022 X post that when Supercharger stations are finally launched, customers will be able to pay with the meme coin. As DogeMemeGirl highlights, this development means "exciting times" for DOGE, given the scale of the project.
The charging station in Hollywood will feature a “futuristic restaurant and drive-in theater,” meaning DOGE’s utility could expand significantly. The station’s location is also strategic, as the meme token could also be introduced to some of Hollywood’s finest. Once that happens, it could boost DOGE’s price, which has remained tepid so far.

Musk is now “practicing” with DOGE
Musk has long been known for his similarities to the most important meme tokens. However, before this, his love for DOGE was mainly manifested in his mysterious X posts about cryptocurrency tokens. Now, the world's richest man seems to have shown through his actions that his interest in DOGE goes far beyond that.
Musk’s biography released last year suggested that DOGE could be part of his long-term plan to create an “app for everything” that would also serve as a payments platform. That plan appears to be already underway, with Musk’s X platform recently hinting that its payments service could go live this year.
The announcement further fuels speculation that Dogecoin payments could be integrated into X when that happens. Such a development would be huge for DOGE and its community. At the same time, the fact that this happens would likely cement Musk’s status as “The Godfather,” a name he has previously given himself.
Interestingly, the world’s richest man recently reaffirmed his love for the meme coin as he revealed that he still owns “a bunch of Dogecoin.” #特斯拉超级充电 #狗狗币支付
