Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Magic Eden has partnered with Web3 payments platform MoonPay to offer new payment options for purchasing digital collectibles.
According to the press release, Magic Eden users can purchase NFTs on chains using credit or debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The goal of this strategic partnership is to make the onboarding process for new users easier.
“Our goal is to make NFTs accessible to everyone, allowing individuals to own and control their digital assets,” said Magic Eden COO Zhuoxun Yin. ”.
Earlier this month, MoonPay partnered with NFT marketplace LookRare to allow users on the platform to buy and sell cryptocurrency through MoonPay, and help them purchase NFTs via credit card.
The company raised $555 million in November 2021, which allows it to continue building strategic partnerships. MoonPay also cleared a regulatory hurdle in December, securing registration with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to signify compliance with local money laundering rules.
