Odaily Planet Daily News Binance is recruiting a full-time lobbyist in Brussels to try to influence those who regulate the crypto industry. As EU lawmakers seek to bring the industry under regulatory jurisdiction, the recruitment campaign shows the growing importance of policy to major crypto companies. A job advertisement posted on Binance's website said that the policy communications director will be "responsible for shaping the communications narrative and conducting influential campaigns around corporate, regulatory and political developments that affect companies across the EU." The job advertisement also cited blogs and social media aimed at influencing policymakers. The job will be based in Brussels full-time, unlike many other Binance positions that can be done remotely. The location will allow visits by officials from the European Commission and the European Parliament responsible for proposing and agreeing new laws that may affect the crypto industry. (CoinDesk)
