According to Foresight News, Penpie said that deposits and withdrawals on the platform remain suspended as it undergoes a comprehensive audit by multiple security companies. BlockSec, PeckShield and AstraSec have initiated audits, and Penpie is in discussions with other companies.
It is expected that deposits and withdrawals will be restored within two to three weeks until the audit is completed. Penpie will work with Hexagate to integrate real-time monitoring and establish an efficient response system.
Penpie continues to work with law enforcement, security firms, partners, and key members of the crypto community to track and freeze funds associated with the hack and discuss potential compensation plans in the governance forum.
Foresight News previously reported that on September 4, Penpie was hacked and 11,113.6 ETH were stolen, worth approximately $27.34 million.
