According to PANews, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has hinted at the company's future direction in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistants. During a podcast on May 11, Altman stated that OpenAI will continue to improve and enhance the voice functionality of ChatGPT, expressing his belief that voice interaction is a crucial pathway to future interaction methods. Altman said, 'Multimodal interaction capabilities are very powerful, for example, you can ask: 'Hey, ChatGPT, what am I looking at?' or 'I'm not sure what kind of plant this is.''

The report suggests that OpenAI is developing a feature that will compete with Apple's Siri and Google's voice assistant. This AI voice assistant is expected to enhance user interaction by answering queries and providing information in a more conversational manner.

In previous news, it was reported that OpenAI would host a global live broadcast on the morning of May 14. However, it was clarified that the company would not be launching GPT-5 and an AI search engine at this event.
