On the other hand, short positions, which are bets that the price of an asset will fall, experienced a liquidation of approximately $41.33 million.

In terms of specific cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum were significantly affected. Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, saw a liquidation of about $37.25 million. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, experienced a liquidation of approximately $20.11 million.
