According to CoinDesk, Canto, a layer-1 blockchain based on Cosmos, has launched a technology called “Cyclone Stack” designed to improve performance and scalability, while the project is preparing to migrate to the much-anticipated Polygon ecosystem. According to a press release, Cyclone Stack will include three key upgrades: the Callisto upgrade, the Kallichore upgrade, and the Elara upgrade, designed to speed up block times, increase storage access speeds, and set new standards for execution. Canto’s Cyclone Stack will also be fully compatible with all EVM tools and applications. "This comprehensive upgrade package marks an important step in Canto's journey to achieve high performance and scalability. Through these innovations, Canto is improving its platform for developers and users." In September, Canto announced that it would use Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK) becomes a layer-2, Canto is a blockchain designed for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. A Canto representative told CoinDesk in an email that after building their own Cyclone EVM, they will integrate with Polygon’s CDK and run ZK-prover to secure the network.
