According to CryptoPotato, the development team of Dogecoin fork Shiba Inu has launched a new tool for enhancing user privacy in the SHIB and Web 3 ecosystems. The innovative technology, called "Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)", brings "complete on-chain data protection" to SHIB community members. SHIB launched the technology in collaboration with Web3 encryption leader Zama, which builds similar solutions for other blockchain and AI-centric technologies. According to IBM, FHE allows users to unlock "the value of data in untrusted areas" without "decryption". For cryptocurrency, it allows users to protect their personal and transaction data against the growing threat of data breaches. The Shiba Inu project leader, who goes by the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, said FHE is an "important milestone" in fulfilling the promise of turning the SHIB community into a nation of "Shibizens". Zama's CEO and co-founder Rand said FHE will "catalyze the growth of the SHIB ecosystem." He added: “This will not only enable a range of new use cases on the Shiba Inu platform, but will also set a new benchmark for blockchain privacy and security.” FHE will leverage Shiba Inu’s new privacy layer, which is powered by the TREAT token that provides liquidity for the SHI stablecoin. TREAT’s price has risen 131% in the past seven days.
