According to Cointelegraph, the North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group recently used a new malware called LightlessCan to conduct fake recruitment scams. Peter Kálnai, a senior malware researcher at ESET, said that compared with the previous BlindingCan, LightlessCan is more concealed and more difficult to detect. The target of this attack is an aerospace company based in Spain. The attacker sent a coding challenge with malware by posing as a Meta recruiter. Since 2016, North Korean hackers have stolen about $3.5 billion from cryptocurrency projects.
