According to Finextra, the latest research by Marketplace Fairness shows that Ethereum will become the most popular Bitcoin alternative in 2023. Research experts analyzed the global Google searches for Bitcoin alternatives and found that Ethereum currently leads the world with 3.26 million searches per month. The second place is the "Meme coin" DOGE, with 1.659 million searches per month. Next is XRP, with about 1.25 million global searches per month. The fourth place is SHIB, with 678,000 searches per month, followed by Cardano (ADA), with 677,000 searches per month.
A spokesperson for Marketplace Fairness commented: “While Bitcoin may be the poster child for cryptocurrency, there are many different types of cryptocurrencies on the rise. ‘Meme coins’ like DOGE tend to be quite volatile in the market and it will be interesting to see how the global popularity and value of these coins develop in the future.”
