According to Foresight News, the Aura blockchain alliance launched by luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Prada has appointed technology entrepreneur Romain Carrere as its new CEO and also serves as secretary general.
The Aura Blockchain Alliance was founded in 2021 by LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co.), Prada Group, Richemont (Cartier), and OTB Group (Diesel), with Mercedes-Benz Group joining in 2022. Aura provides NFT minting, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and identity verification capabilities to member companies on an Ethereum-compatible permissioned blockchain.
