PANews reported on December 28 that according to Cointelegraph, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato announced the temporary suspension of all Bitcoin withdrawals weeks after its co-founders agreed to dissolve the illegal exchange and confiscate its cryptocurrency. This decision is Bitzlato's preparation for an upcoming legal hearing regarding its users' assets seized in France. Although Bitzlato's website and part of its infrastructure were jointly seized by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and French law enforcement agencies in January, the exchange partially restored access to user funds through a Telegram robot in March, allowing users to withdraw 50% of their assets on the platform, and increased the amount that can be withdrawn to 70% in the following months.
