According to ChainCatcher, Vitalik published his latest article, in which he proposed using new technology to transform the Ethereum expansion solution Plasma.
Vitalik Buterin's article concluded that in 2023, Plasma is an underestimated design space. Although Rollups remains the gold standard and has unparalleled security properties, Plasma's advantages cannot be ignored from the perspective of developer experience. Its simplicity eliminates the need for application developers to consider ownership graphs and incentive flows in applications, greatly simplifying the development process. At the same time, Plasma helps to completely sidestep data availability issues and effectively reduce transaction fees. For chains that originally served as validators, Plasma provides an important security upgrade solution. And with the results of ZK-EVM this year, we have the opportunity to re-explore this design space and come up with more effective structures to simplify the developer experience and protect user funds.
