Hacker error results in burning of 10.5 million GLM tokens

A hacker attacking the Poloniex platform made a mistake by copying and pasting the wrong address, resulting in the transfer of 10.5 million GLM tokens (equivalent to $2.5 million) to the token contract address. This amount of GLM was essentially burned. The incident highlights the importance of always verifying addresses before carrying out cryptocurrency transactions.
