The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has now deployed the re-audited name wrapper Name Wrapper to the Goerli testnet, where it will remain on Goerli for at least two weeks before being deployed to the mainnet. The Name Wrapper smart contract enhances functionality by wrapping existing ENS names into ERC-115 tokens, including greater control over permissions for wrapped names, with the ability to display, transfer and trade wrapped names in any wallet that supports the ERC-115 standard. In addition, Name Wrapper allows the main domain name to control the expiration of subdomain names, and can also grant the subdomain owner or other accounts the authority to extend the expiration time.
