According to Reuters, payments giant PayPal said in a filing today that it received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requesting the company to provide documents related to its U.S. dollar stablecoin PayPal USD (PYUSD).
PayPal launched its stablecoin in August, becoming the first major fintech company to adopt the digital currency for payments and transfers.
