Google has taken a step into the future by ordering seven nuclear reactors to support its AI infrastructure.

California-based Kairos Power has been awarded a contract to supply small modular reactors (MMP) from the technology giant. These reactors will serve to power the growing needs of artificial intelligence, while it is important that the energy source is 24/7 and has low carbon emissions, which will help avoid environmental problems.

The details of the location of the new reactors and the financial aspects of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Google intends to buy 500 megawatts of electricity from Kairos.
