SEC Commissioner Mark Wade believes that Gary Gensler is slowing down the development of the cryptocurrency market in the United States
SEC Commissioner Mark Wade gave an interview to the Fox Business TV channel, in which he expressed his opinion about the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission Gary Gensler, he noted that Gensler is hindering the development of the cryptocurrency market in the United States.
According to Wade, the main problem is that Gensler controls almost all the employees of the SEC, as a result of which the department lacks professionals capable of lobbying the interests of the blockchain industry.
Wade believes it is necessary to change the current system and review the SEC's policies. First of all, it is necessary to speed up the development of the legal framework for digital currencies.
For this, according to Wade, it is necessary to revise the legislation on securities, which Gensler refers to. It is also important to develop clear criteria for the definition of securities, which will allow cryptocurrencies to be removed from the jurisdiction of the SEC.#AMARE
