Sam Altman's Worldcoin project has changed its name to "World" and unveiled a new version of its "Orb" iris-scanning device.

The project aims to create an identity verification system that allows anonymous online verification of humanity.

The event unveiled "Orb 2.0," which will be faster and easier to use.

World plans to open "premium verification centers" in Buenos Aires and Mexico City, as well as place devices in everyday places like coffee shops.

The project will also offer verification using government documents.

The WLD token fell 5% after the presentation.
